WHO I AM AND WHAT I DO
I blog about wide variety of subject from SW development to trends. I follow a lot of blogs. I keep up with SW development subjects as Agile, Lean and Product Management. I also follow high-tech, social media and customer experience blogs and news. I'm interested in innovations and development in many areas of life. I follow and write about the stuff that makes me happy.I like sports. I'm keep up with wide variety of sports mainly from web and TV. I try to exercise enough to keep my mind positive. I’ve used to be more active on team sports, but now with kids and work, I’ve been going towards endurance sports like running, cycling and cross-country skiing. My latest challenge and passion is to train myself to a half triathlon and then hopefully even for the full Ironman. I'm blogging about my journey and other sports sports related stuff here - www.kurheilua.com. Unfortunately for some of you that blog is in Finnish.
I’m an amateur photographer and one day I’ll activate myself to present those photos more on the web also. I think I’ve shot some good ones. Nowadays my main hobby with photos is to create photobooks of our travels (here’s one post about those). We have such great looking, always changing weather and nature here in Finland, that it would deserve much more photos. It’s a pity that I don't seem to have enough time from other priorities for this hobby.
Couple years ago I got again interested on reading books. Previously I used to read more on fiction side, but few years now I’ve been reading business books. Maybe those shouldn’t be called business books snce those are mainly entertaining and interesting books about the world we live in. You can find reviews of those in this blog in section book reviews.
WORK LIFE
I've worked with SW and product development whole my professional career. I've got to work with some really cool project during my career. I love being part of creating new. I have created a portfolio of products I've worked with to Pinterest - My Work Portfolio.Past years I've worked on helping companies on becoming better at Product Development. I've worked with tens of interesting companies. Nowadays I'm a CEO of Contribyte, but I still continue to consult some companies. Helping others to become better is something I really enjoy.
